I’ve been seeing Michelle Young for some time now. Being a person who has been in and out of therapy my entire life, it’s usually difficult for me to connect with people. With Michelle, I found it incredibly easy to connect. I’m able to be open, honest and vulnerable with her. More so than most people in my life and that is because she creates an environment and relationship that fosters trust and security. The atmosphere in the office is warm, inviting and safe. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

Michelle has been seeing my son for a few months now. He absolutely loves her and is able to open up to her about everything. He is very comfortable with her and as a father, I think that is very important. I highly recommend her.

I have been seeing Michelle for about 4 months now, she is amazing!!! I
have been in and out of counseling since I was 12. I have never met a counselor like her. I would never be honest with them or trust them. Michelle has made me feel so comfortable and able to finally trust someone. She has helped me bring back my confidence. To be totally honest, if it was not for Michelle and my advocate I probably would not be here writing this review, it has been a long 5 months for me and I look back at that first day and can not believe how far I have come. I love that I can trust her and open up to her. Also my daughter sees Michelle, first time I have took her to see a counselor. my daughter is very laidback, don't say much, don't feel her emotions or expresses them. I was so nervous and didn't not know to take her or not. When I went back to pick her up, she said mom when do I get to see her again with the biggest smile! Made my whole night. She is amazing with children also.
I simply could not recommend Michelle more! This was my first time going to therapy. She created such a safe space for me to express my feelings. It was personal and genuine. All the staff was professional and sessions feel private. I've seen growth & progress to meeting my mental health goals. I enjoy my sessions and look forward to the next. To anybody considering, give them a try!

I worked with Michelle for about four months last year until my insurance changed. I felt like she was a great support when I needed some extra clarity. As a secular person, myself, it can be hard to find a therapist in the bible belt with whom I feel like I can establish a working rapport, and to build trust with someone while I do the work of healing. I always felt seen & respected, and never felt like religion was a component of my path forward. I deeply appreciate this, and feel confident I am in a healthier headspace now because of the work we did together.

I believe that every person and couple should be in therapy. I began seeing Kirstynn in 2023 for individual therapy. In recent months she connected my husband and I with Michelle and we have been seeing her for marriage counseling. It's almost unheard of to find an individual therapist you connect with and a marriage therapist you also connect with in the same business. We found this at Mind Over Matter! I highly recommend them. Michelle & Kirstynn are amazing!

Mind Over Matter Counseling was recommended to me about a year ago. After bad experiences as a child with counselors, I was leering of the idea about starting counseling again. I am SO glad I found Michelle at just the right time. She has helped me tremendously over the past year and shook off everything preconceived thought I had before about counselors.
