Are the therapy sessions confidential?

Mind Over Matter Counseling Solutions cares about you and protecting your confidentiality. All services provided are confidential and discreet. Any information shared requires a signature on an Authorization of Disclosure form. Exceptions to confidentiality are rare but may include those in which safety concerns arise involving yourself, our team, or the safety of others, or when a court order has been issued. In the event that information is shared, our team makes proper notification a priority.

Do you take insurance or use a sliding scale?

Mind Over Matter Counseling solutions makes affordability a priority. Services can be rendered depending on provider as out-of-pocket, by using insurance or HSA accounts, and in some instances, a sliding scale may be available. Some of our professionals are paneled or awaiting approval with the following insurances:

Aetna, Ambetter, Anthem, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Home State Health, Missouri Heathnet, Missouri Medicaid, Optum, United Healthcare, UMR

Do you offer flexible scheduling?

The professionals at Mind Over Matter Counseling Solutions are dedicated to accommodating busy schedules to ensure that you get the care you need and deserve. We are flexible in our scheduling so that we may continue to serve our clients and our community. We schedule most appointments Monday through Friday 8am-8pm but sometimes allow additional availability on Saturday and Sunday. How long should I expect a session to take?

Each therapy session is typically 45-55 minutes long, according to the individuals unique needs.

Are there any restrictions due to COVID?

No. We encourage our clients to wear a mask if they prefer; however we are not requiring masks.

Do you offer Telehealth sessions?

While we always prefer to see clients in-person, we do offer telehealth sessions.

What modalities are practiced?

Depending on your individual needs and goals of therapy, your therapist will use evidenced-based techniques and modalities. Those commonly used are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
